Carved wooden man from village of Tambanam, which is 120 miles up the Sepik River in Papua New Guinea.  The figure represents a tribal ancestor during special events of the tribal secret society.  Made in New Guinea in the early 1920s.  Condition:  Good.  29”H x 11”D x 12”W
